We have exciting opportunities for research in the Cerebral Resuscitation Laboratory, including a Medical Student Emergency Medicine Basic Science Elective and a month-long rotation in the lab for Emergency Medicine Residents. We also offer a unique Basic Science Research Fellowship for Emergency Physicians who have graduated (or will soon graduate) from an Emergency Medicine residency and wish to pursue a career as a physician-scientist. This challenging program allows the candidate to work minimal clinical hours as an attending physician while pursuing a PhD in Physiology from Wayne State University.
Additionally, we are often looking for help from individuals willing to work with us as paid or volunteer research assistants. Individuals interested in paying positions must have some relevant laboratory experience.
At this time, we are also looking for a qualified individual to join our team of investigators at the assistant or associate professor level. MDs and PhDs (and MD-PhDs!) are welcome to apply.
If you are interested in any of these opportunities, please contact the Associate Lab Director via email.
